BotShield Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to and use of BotShield, a Shopify application operated under the Alboro name. By installing or using BotShield, you agree to these Terms on behalf of the Shopify merchant you represent.

1. Eligibility and authorization

You may use BotShield only for a Shopify store that you own or are authorized to administer. You are responsible for maintaining authorized access to the store and for the accuracy of the configuration you select.

2. Service behavior

BotShield analyzes privacy-minimized storefront behavior to identify automated activity. Monitor mode reports supported activity without blocking checkout. Protect mode may block checkout for a cart associated with a current high-risk session when the store has an eligible plan and all required Shopify protection state is current and valid.

BotShield is designed to fail open when required protection data is missing, stale, or invalid. No security product can identify or prevent every automated action. Merchants remain responsible for testing their configuration and reviewing store operations.

3. Plans and billing

Paid subscriptions, charges, upgrades, and cancellations are presented and processed through Shopify. The plan and price accepted in Shopify govern the features available to the store. Some features, including checkout blocking, are unavailable on plans without the corresponding entitlement.

4. Acceptable use

You must not misuse BotShield, attempt to bypass its security controls, interfere with the service, access another merchant's data, or use the service in violation of applicable law or Shopify's terms and policies.

5. Availability and changes

We may maintain, update, or discontinue features to preserve security, reliability, legal compliance, or Shopify platform compatibility. Temporary interruptions may occur. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

6. Data and privacy

Our processing and deletion practices are described in the BotShield Privacy Policy. Uninstall and verified Shopify deletion requests trigger deletion workflows for applicable shop-owned application data.

7. Termination

You may stop using BotShield by uninstalling the application and cancelling any applicable subscription through Shopify. We may suspend or terminate access when necessary to address abuse, security risk, legal requirements, or a material breach of these Terms.
